Yes, it's a fresh new year and we hope everyone enjoyed the well deserved semester break!!
For most of you, the transition into the new year signifies a time of change, decision and (in accounting terms XD) CUT-OFF where you might have new wishes, resolutions, outlooks or ideas.
And we, the Sunway-TES Accountancy Club (SAC), are just the same. For now, we proudly introduce to you the BRAND NEW committee of SAC2011!
It is with much pleasure that we usher in a brand new bunch of talented, enthusiastic and vibrant members with the fervent hope that this year will be as good as, if not BETTER, than the last! Sighs, a lot of us are probably still moaning about how the holidays were too short and that it's too soon to go back to school. But it's the New Year and think of it as an opportunity to see your friends and beloved lecturers again (not to mention, we've got plenty lined up for you this year!)
And true enough, something's coming your way very soon. It's the... wait for it...
SAC ANNUAL CHARITY DRIVE!!!!
Yep, it's back and we're having loads of fun and games from the 24th- 26th of January! We're gonna have all your favourite foods and deserts as well as some mandarin oranges for the CNY to send a heartfelt message to your lecturers and friends. We've got loads of surprises in store for you and in particular, there's gonna be a MONOPOLY DEAL COMPETITION!
It's the greatest craze that's sweeping the nation (urm, maybe not... but at least its popular campus-wide =D)
and we're pretty sure a lot of you guys will be all pumped up to give your shot with CASH PRIZES to be won!
All proceeds will be going to charity, to the Trinity Home Children's Shelter located in Petaling Jaya (behind Assunta Hospital). The home provides shelter and education for under-privileged children and we, the SAC, have been providing assistance to this home for several years now. The home is in need of supplies such as books and clothing, and we would be dearly grateful it if your kind participation in this drive could assist the kids just that bit further! Even a simple donation would be greatly appreciated.
Our coupon and registration counter will be open from the 17th -19th January, 9am - 3pm, at the cafeteria so please visit us and get more details! (ask your friends from other courses to come too! It's an open event!)

On that note, here's what we've been up to in the holidays.
Every year, the members will bring the children from Trinity Home on a sponsored trip to a select destination. This year we brought them to Berjaya Times Square to the Cosmo's World Theme Park! Here's some photos to get you up to speed.
We left the college at 9pm on the morning of the 21st of December last year to bring the kids out for a great time.

The kids had loads of fun with the various rides and as shown here, BUMPER CARS!! They were a huge fan!

And everyone had their lunch after a crazy, electrified day running around! (boy, can those kids run!)
And there ends our crazy adventure for the day. The kids enjoyed themselves to the fullest and we just sincerely hope that with your help, they'll be able to do so again and have a comfortable living. It's all thanks to you guys that we can give these children an opportunity to have what you and I always want... A GREAT TIME OUT!
