Exams are coming

Ever felt discouraged by failure of PT1,PT2, Mock Exam or previous semester's final exam?

Lack motivation to study?

Life is too stressful?

It is normal for us students to start feeling pressure or stressful when the final exams are coming, especially more so with the ACCA examinations with many of us taking 2-4 papers per semesters!

In life, we will always be faced with many obstacles in life and therefore it would be wise to make action plans to solve them.

Below are a few articles from Mr. Marcus's Blog which I deem very good articles for us ACCA students!! I'm sure most of us can find a relation towards his post and words of wisdom!!

Ways to fight and manage stress http://marcusong88.blogspot.com/2008/10/how-to-cope-with-stress.html

Motivating factors on why we students should pass our ACCA examination? http://marcusong88.blogspot.com/2008/08/life-as-student.html

Based on my own experience as a ACCA student, when it comes down to studying it is vital we:

1) Maintain a healthy diet without neglecting our nutrient needs while studying. Fish is good as its a brain food and also provides sufficient protein.

2) Exercise! Badan cergas, Minda cerdas!! (A healthy body leads to an fresh/energetic mind!!)

3) Maintain a positive mindset is also critical for the success of one in life (includes studies)!! Believing you can do it is a step towards the right direction!! (Of course, if one believes in something, one should TRY to make it happen by doing what is necessary. False believe is just SAD!!)

4) Balance your life!! (Ultimately point 1 and 2 is about having a balance in your life!!) Also don't neglect your family,gf/bf and friends! But if you have to, please remember to reconcile (not talking of bank recon here :D)

5) Know what you want!! If you really want to pass your ACCA final examination, one SHOULD make sure they are determined and focus!! Make plans to have study groups/self study, ask for help if one does not understand a topic or subject! Planning ahead and managing your time are also critical to effective studying! Control your indulgence in distraction such as TV (Korean dramas, Heroes Season 3, Animes, Football (Liverpool roxs!!) n etc :D) and spending excessive time online!

6) Do not only study "spotted" topics!! Doing so is taking a huge risk and one is gambling is time (6months) and this "package" also comes with additional "perks" such as extreme blow to ego, heartache and disappointment!!

Basically, spotted topics are just areas where we should focus on!! It is always BEST to cover the whole syllabus (although I myself have not manage to do this throughout my CAT/ACCA journey but I strongly believe covering and understanding the whole syllabus INCREASES your chance of passing the ACCA/CAT examinations!)

That's about it from me. For more information on ways to reduce stress/effective time management/Liverpool :D, you can always try to Google them online!!

Finally, I would like to wish everyone GOOD LUCK and ALL THE BEST for the ACCA/CAT final examinations!! Always remember that you are working hard now for a much brigther future ahead!! OR one can take the easy way out and just screw their ACCA/CAT examinations..

Ultimately, THE CHOICE IS YOURS TO MAKE!!

Have a Nice Day and Take care everyone!!

Dear ACCA candidates,
If you say ACCA students' life is tough, we - all 160,000 ACCA graduates-members absolutely agree with you 100%! We went through the very same things you currently in. But we are enjoying and reaping the fruitages of our hard work in our careers. All my ex-classmates are getting very good $$ and some in businesses.

Conduct a simple F5 cost-benefit analysis - suffer 3+ years of hardwork and enjoy 30 years of good career. Ratio of 1:10 of costs:benefits.

If we - all 160,000 ACCA graduate-members can do it, SO CAN YOU!!

Sincerest best wishes in your upcoming exams.
