Visit to Trinity Home

The members of SAC Club gather every Friday night to visit the children of Trinity Home to help give them tuition and guide them in their studies :)

This week, we celebrated the birthday of children born in the month of May, June and July since we havn't been visiting for the past 1 1/2 month due to our final exam.

Richard and Lih Kai lighting up the 10 candles that filled up the whole cake. The children were so excited, they helped to place the candles :)

The dedicated members that comes every week, thank you guys! :)

Their smiles are all so beautiful

We asked the children to make a wish before blowing the candles off

The children enjoying the birthday cake - they love Pandan cake so much that some of them went for 2nd/3rd round and finished the cake!

This is Joshua, a new addition to the Trinity Home family

This girl is the sweetest child we have ever met. She is very well mannered, smart, dainty, soft spoken, helpful, bubbly at times and always smiling. All of us are just so aww-ed and fell in love instantly with her :)

The children in this home, they are not orphans. Most of them come from very poor families and their parents just cannot afford to bring them up or some of their parents are sick mentally/physically and are not fit to take care of them.

This humble 4 bedroom children home fit approximately 20 children between the age of 4-15 years old and 4 helpers. The children, mostly primary and secondary school children attend the government schools around the PJ area.

As most of them lack guidance and help in their studies, they face problems in their studies and thus, what this home really need are teachers/tutors who will help the children to gain understanding of the subject they are studying. The teachers must also be very patient as I observed that most of the younger kids have very short attention span is and most of them don't understand the English/Malay language too well, thus sometimes it will be very hard to communicate and explain the subject to them.

Despite all that, although some of them are not very good in their studies, one thing for sure is that the kids in this home are all very well mannered, they are very disciplined and well brought up and caring towards each other :)

This home is set up by a church, thus the children are all church-goers and brought up in a way that they have worshiping and Bible study lesson everyday. They are all very special in their own ways - some of them can draw very well, play musical instruments, can talk very well, can sing and etc.

They are special in a way that they touch many hearts with their child-like faith, they are so innocent, pure, real and full of hope - definitely not like the grown ups that only chase nothing but all the fame, fortune and material stuff of the world.

If you are interested to make any donation or help in any way, please do not hesitate to contact the SAC Club at saccommittee@gmail.com.

Thank You, have a great day :)
